After I have placed my order, how soon can I expect to receive my purchase?
Your order will be shipped to you within 3-5 days from when we receive payment. You will receive an email confirming your order and an email informing you of shipping details and your tracking number once your order has shipped.

How do I know if a product I want to purchase is on back order?
If an item becomes out-of-stock once your order has been submitted, we will send you an email within 24 hours to inform you when the item will be available for shipment. We will also offer you alternatives on how you want us to handle your order. Alternatives would be: approval to place this item on backorder and ship other items if applicable, cancellation of the item or to cancel complete order, or the option to replace with another item.

We use UPS standard shipping service. We do not offer Express Shipping at this time, but plan to do so in the future.

What's your return policy?
We at Micky Byrd want our customers to be 100% completely satisfied with their purchase. We will accept all returns, unopened in their original packaging, within 14 days of receipt of your purchase. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept products after this 14 day time period. We will, of course, immediately replace or issue a full refund for any product that be damaged during shipment.

We make the return process very easy and simple for you. Just send an email to our Order Department. Please enter in Subject window: RETURN-YOUR NAME/YOUR ORDER NUMBER. This is to alert us to anticipate your returned order. Enter any additional information if necessary in your email that will help us accommodate your request. Ship using your choice of carrier which can track the order. Upon receipt of your returned order, we will process a refund, credit or replace the item.

eGift Certificates: Refunds will only be processed to the original purchaser of the eGift Certificate.

What is the difference between commercial soap and handmade soap?
Commercial soap is usually manufactured using synthetic detergents and chemicals that can strip away the skin's protective oils. One of the most beneficial by-products of the soap making process is the production of glycerin, a humectant that draws moisture to the skin. Large amounts of glycerin is removed in the commercial production process and used to make other beauty products. Only a small quantity of glycerin remains in commercially produced soaps. Commercially produced soaps are made with artificial ingredients, chemicals and harsh detergents.

Handmade soap however, completely incorporates and retains all of this natural glycerin, a major benefit in handmade soap. Glycerin attracts moisture to your skin and each bar of handmade soap you use is thereby providing your skin with more moisturizing properties than commercial soap. Also, handmade soaps which are blended with nature's own pure vegetable oils and butters, pure essential oils and organic botanicals. These ingredients are a healthier alternative for cleansing your precious skin. No artificial ingredients or chemicals are included in 100% natural, handmade soap.

PLEASE READ THE INGREDIENTS ON PRODUCT LABELS. Please be aware if you have allergies what is sensitive on your skin. Natural and organically grown ingredients, as wonderful as they are, sometimes cause allergic reactions for some people (think poison ivy). We want you to enjoy our products, but if you are allergic to oats and seafood, for example, please do not use products that have oatmeal or seaweed listed on the label.

What is Micky Byrd's philosophy?
Our philosophy is to give consumers a healthier alternative to skin and hair care products. Our products are created from natural based ingredients versus being chemically manufactured. We make our products in small batches for specialized quality control and freshness using 100% all-natural vegetable oils, butters and organic botanicals. We do not use artificial ingredients, detergents or chemical additives. We do not test our products on animals, nor do we use any ingredients in our products that are environmentally endangered. Purity in our products gives purity to your skin.

Our goal is to formulate our products for the skin care, beauty and moisturizing needs of women of color. We produce high-quality, handmade all-natural aromatherapy skin care and bath products that give effective and beneficial maintenance for your skin and hair. We select pure, high-grade essential oils and blend them together to create signature fragrances for their aromatherapy influences on the emotional state of being, and we named our signature fragrances from words that encourage a healthy attitude and to help influence a positive state of mind, body and spirit.

We guarantee the safety of what we sell to you. Your complete 100% satisfaction with our products is our main priority and why we established our goals for Micky Byrd.

Giving back is one of our major goals of our company. We have established a program that will provide a portion of our profits to support disadvantage women, to help them strive for a better life for themselves and their children and we give our thanks to you for helping make this happen.

Due to the fact that our soaps are handmade and hand cut, slight variations and colorings may occur from batch to batch. Weights of our soaps may vary, but the weight will never be lower than the advertised weight.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes, all gifts that have been wrapped with our exclusive gift paper will be carefully packaged prior to shipping to guarantee that the package will arrive fresh and appealing at their final destination.

I received an eGift Card, what do I need to do to use my card?
You have been given the opportunity to choose your own gift when you receive an eGift Card email. Included in the email will be a special card number, date that the card was purchased, the name of the person who purchased the card and the gift amount.

You may then make your selections and use your eGift Card at checkout, before taxes and shipping. If your purchases are more than the gift amount of the eGift Card, please use another form of payment to complete your purchase. If your selections total less than the amount stated for your eGift Card, you will be issued another eGift Card with the remaining balance to use at a future date.

Unfortunately, we do not give cash refunds to the gift recipient. Only the purchaser of the eGift Card can receive a full refund if the card has not been used. If your eGift Card becomes lost, please inform us as soon as possible so that we can block that number and issue you a new eGift Card with the current balance.

Your eGift Card does not have an expiration date, so you can purchase your handmade goodies at your leisure.
